Kathleen Greenler Sexton to Join OrderMotion Executive Team as Chief Marketing Officer
New Role Created to Help Drive Company’s Next Phase of Growth
OrderMotion, Inc., an award-winning provider of an on-demand direct commerce solution for multi-channel merchants, online retailers and direct marketers has announced that Kathleen “Kathy” Greenler Sexton will be joining OrderMotion as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer. In this newly created role, Ms. Sexton will be responsible for overseeing OrderMotion’s marketing initiatives and providing the leadership necessary to successfully manage the company’s vision as the leading provider of an on-demand, back-office solution for ebusinesses, direct marketers and multi-channel retailers.
Ms. Sexton has over 20 years experience in leading the marketing function of technology and Internet companies. Most recently, she was CMO of HighBeam Research where she was responsible for revenue, market and product strategy and marketing programs. Her leadership helped to significantly grow subscription and advertising revenues and established HighBeam as the leading research engine on the Web. Prior to HighBeam, she was VP of Marketing at Inlumen (formerly known as NewsAlert) where her efforts helped the content syndication company culminate its sale to Pinnacor (Now MarketWatch/Dow Jones News Services.) At Office.com/Individual.com, Ms Sexton played a strategic role in each company’s growth. Her efforts helped close the successful sale of Individual.com (a top 10-news destination site) to Office.com (the leading SMB portal) and the successful repositioning, branding and growth of Office.com/Individual.com.
Ms Sexton was also Director of Marketing for AltaVista during the 1990s. While at the company, she helped launch the AltaVista search engine and AltaVista Internet Software. She was instrumental in growing AltaVista from a start-up company to a # 1 brand for consumers and business, a top-five Internet property, and a top-10 online media publisher, successfully transitioning the company from a research project to a viable and thriving Internet business.
“As OrderMotion continues to experience extraordinary traction in the market, Kathy brings the right type of experience to help position the company for its next phase of growth,” said Donny Askin, OrderMotion CEO. “Kathy will be instrumental in driving the company’s leadership position as being the premier choice for small to mid-size retailers in need of on-demand commerce solutions.”
“OrderMotion has a very diverse list of customers, each with a unique business and a compelling story behind their successful selling strategy,” said Ms. Sexton. “OrderMotion helps each of these merchants grow their business and increase profits by automating their back-office operations via our on-demand platform that does not require any software or hardware. I am looking forward to connecting even more businesses to our powerful on-demand technology and working with everyone at OrderMotion to achieve significant bottom line growth for the company, as well as all of our customers.”
